The Strides of Heresy are a lunar item introduced in the Skills 2.0 Update and an original part of the Heresy Set.

Obtaining the Strides of Heresy will replace the Survivor's utility skill (Shift by default on keyboard) with the Shadowfade skill.

Notes
  • Correction: The in-game description of healing 25% max health is incorrect. Instead, it gives 1.3% max health per tick for 14 ticks, for a total of 18.2% max health per activation, per stack.
  • The player can fly during the skill's duration if activating it in midair.
  • The invulnerable period cannot be cancelled early.
  • While invulnerable, the player can still interact with things and activate their equipment, but cannot use any skills.
  • The player's hitbox is removed while invulnerable, so even a Void Reaver.png Void Reaver'sVoid Reaver.pngVoid Reaver

Notes

    Fire haunting skulls when healed.

    Store 100% (+100% per stack) of healing as Soul Energy. After your Soul Energy reaches 10% of your maximum health, fire a skull that deals 250% of your Soul Energy as damage.

  • Shadowfade does not remove damage over time effects when activated.

    Create a quantum tunnel between two locations.

    Create a quantum tunnel of up to 1000m in length. Lasts 30 seconds.
    immediately ends the duration of Shadowfade.
  • Obtaining this item along with the other three Heresy items will turn the holder into the Heretic.png Heretic.

    • It also gives Artificer a powerful defensive option for quickly falling back from danger. While Ion Surge is definitely a strong option for retreating, it still pales in comparison to complete invulnerability. Extra healing also ensures she can get back into the fight faster after sustaining damage.
