Boss Encounter
Upon entering the fight, a thick fog forms under the arena, teleporting the player back up if they fall off. The battle with the False Son has 3 phases, the first of which starts with an extended arena and further phases remove successive parts of it.
Aurelionite Geodes can be found scattered throughout the arena; they regenerate 30 seconds after being used. Up to 4 geodes can be active during the fight based on the current phase. There is one fixed spawn for both the outer and middle rings, while the inner arena has 2 locations randomly selected out of 5 in total. They always respawn in the same place and don't change locations during the fight.

Phase 1
Primary: Fissure Slam
The False Son raises his club overhead and after a 0.5 second delay he performs a slam in 0.33 seconds which scales with attack speed. The attack results in two individual hits; a meele one with 300% damage and a blast with 400% damage, both with 1.0 proc coefficient. The blast deals damage in a 6m radius with no falloff. The blast can also push the target away on the horizontal plane with a force of 4000. Curiously, the blast does not take place when the club hits the ground, but halfway through the swing, approximately 7m high. By not trying to jump away, it is likely one can only be hit by the melee attack of the slam.
The slam also generates 5 fissure columns within 30m of the False Son, primarily trying to target a player per column and the rest placed randomly. These columns move outwards with a speed of 12m/s for 7 seconds and deal 240% damage with a proc coefficient of 0.2 once per second. The pillars can be individually blocked by Defensive MicrobotsDefensive Microbots (Passive)Passively gain Microbots that shoot down nearby enemy projectiles. Drones are also given Microbots.
Survivor: Captain.
This skill has a cooldown of 8 seconds.
Utility: Corrupted Paths

Survivor: False Son, it uses a massive collision box in front of the boss which detects targets ahead of it and creates a blast dealing 200% damage with a proc coefficient of 1.0 in a 20m radius with linear falloff. The blast is centered around the False Son, but because the scanning collision box has greater dimensions, the blast will miss the target unless the False Son starts dashing when the target is already close enough.
Upon reaching the target, the False Son transitions immediately to Fissure Slam without the 0.5s wind-up delay. Fissure Slam will be used whether it is currently on cooldown or not. It will try to deduct a charge from the primary skill and put it on cooldown, but if it is already on cooldown, this will have no effect or reset its cooldown. It is likely therefore that Fissure Slam is used twice in quick succession if it has just a few seconds of cooldown left when this skill is activated; once from the utility-primary combo and once from using the primary when ready.
This skill has a cooldown of 4 seconds and the False Son gains Hidden InvincibilityHidden Invincibility (Buff)

Special: Tainted Offering
The False Son winds his right palm back and fires off 9 projectiles after 0.775 seconds. Both the firing delay and the total attack duration, which is 1.8 seconds, scale with attack speed.
The projectiles are fired in a rhomboid formation which spread out and travel at 65m/s for 3 seconds. Upon impact they deal 200% damage with a 0.5 proc coefficient and inflict the Lunar Rain DoT. Like a shotgun shot at close distance they can be lethal as they can all hit the player, while at longer distances it is likely they all miss. These projectiles can be blocked by Defensive MicrobotsDefensive Microbots (Passive)Passively gain Microbots that shoot down nearby enemy projectiles. Drones are also given Microbots.
Survivor: Captain.
This skill has a cooldown of 6 seconds.
Behaviors
- Use utility: the False Son must be within 20-250m away. This behavior is active for 1.2 seconds and cannot be selected twice in a row. False Son will refresh its target at the end of this behavior.
- Use primary (swat) and chase off nodegraph: the False Son must be within 25m and have line of sight. This behavior is active for 2.6 seconds and cannot be selected twice in a row.
- Use primary (fissure slam) and chase off nodegraph: same requirements as the previous one.
- Use special and strafe: the False Son must be within 1000m and have line of sight. This behavior is active for 1.8 seconds and cannot be selected twice in a row.
- Chase off nodegraph: the False Son must be within 5-20m and have line of sight.
- Chase sprinting off nodegraph: the False Son must be at least 20m away and have line of sight.
- Chase: no requirements. False Son will refresh its target at the end of this behavior. This is used when False Son has already acquired a target, but has no line of sight, e.g., the target is hiding behind a pillar. This can be used to prevent False Son from sprinting towards you even when far away.

Armor: 0 initially and more throughout the phase occasionally, but only if there are fewer than 5 Stone Golems alive. The False Son also gains a new utility skill and secondary skill. The False Son no longer uses special.
Secondary: Lunar Rain
The False Son raises his right fist and 7 warning spots are highlighted on the ground around the center of the arena. After 3.5 seconds pillars land on these spots and a blast wave emanates from the False Son which deals 100% damage with no proc coefficient in a 15m radius with no falloff and a force of 10000.
These pillars are 15m tall, which can provide cover from the boss. However, after 21 seconds they begin glowing, signaling a 2-second warning before exploding. The explosion deals 20 damage, scaling with the difficulty coefficient, in a 30m radius with no falloff and a force of 5000 while inflicting the Lunar Ruin DoT. The pillars can also be destroyed, having 75 (+22 per level) health, but they spawn on the player's team and follow the player level, therefore they can only be destroyed by monsters or with the Artifact of Chaos.
The False Son is locked in this summoning animation for another 1.5 seconds after summoning the pillars (5 seconds in total).

Meanwhile, when the False Son leaps, the eye of the giant Providence statue in the background begins to glow and, after 4 seconds, fires a laser beam (one for each player) that lasts for 9 seconds. Each beam starts at the center of the arena and slowly tracks a player for 2 seconds; for the next 5 seconds, it locks onto the player with perfect precision and the only way to avoid it is to get behind cover. The laser deals 250% damage every 0.5 seconds, with a base damage of 16 (+3.2 per level) that scales with the ambient level. For the last 2 seconds, the beam stops locking onto players and retracts back into the statue.

Utility: Charged Laser Gaze
This is similar to the attack during phase 2, but the statue's eye glows blue instead of white and the damage is boosted by 150%. There is a bug where this damage boost accumulates every time this skill is used (400% on the second use, 550% on the third, etc.), and persists for the remainder of the game session. Furthermore, this also affects the beam's damage during phase 2, making both phases increasingly punishing the more times the player allows the laser to be activated during phase 3.
Special: Prime Devastator
The False Son hops into the air, raising his club, and after 2 seconds slams it down, causing an explosion that deals 300% base damage with a 1.0 proc coefficient in a 10m radius with no falloff. Tips
- False Son is big oppressive unit, but not so dangerous alone. Most of the melee moves are simply avoidable by sprinting and he has predictable behavior. It is very important to be aware of your surroundings as deaths often come from bad positioning and getting cornered.
- False Son is easily distracted by allies, allowing the player more leniency in the fight. Drones are the easiest type to obtain, but will require extra money to repair when they die. It is recommended to farm a large amount of gold before fight.
- ALL of his moves deal extremely high damage, it is very important to avoid all incoming damage since player has limited access to healing and defense before the fight.
- Slam releases one flame pillar under each player. To avoid sudden pillar player needs to move perpendicular or diagonal from False Son's current position. Also it is avoidable by moving directly at False Son, but not recommended.
- Since it takes 30 seconds for each geode to respawn and there are only two available for the final phase, their usage should be limited to the most necessary circumstances, as being hit by the debuff but being unable to remove it for tens of seconds can lead to death.
- Phase 1
- False Son has very dangerous, low cooldown move that closes distance, most of the mobility skills in the game has higher cooldown than False Son's dash so to avoid it you need to force dash into the pillar. He will dash past pillar if the player is too far away from it (even if it is perfectly aligned between both player & boss) so it is more consistent to be closer to pillar. It is reccomended to bait the boss around the pillars and to deal dmg while he performs long animations of attacks, while being out of harm's way.
- Often False Son goes into cycle of Corrupted Paths to Tainted Offering, meaning the player needs to be prepared for follow up shotgun of spikes after each dash. The attack has noticeable spread and it is possible to fit between burst of spikes. Also similarly to the elder lemurian's fireball volley, the player can jump before Spike Shotgun to make False Son release burst over the player when they hit the ground.
- Even though it seems that atatcks with many concurrent damage instances will be greatly weakened by

- At the start of the phase five
stone golemsStone Golem

Damage: 20 (+4 per level)
Class: Ranged / Melee
Speed: 6.6 m/s
Armor: 0 spawn around the player, it may be advisable to spawn them in certain position. Spawning them on corners of arena can make 5 golems easier to deal with and more manageable, since by spawning them on corner, the player will free other side of the map from minions, allowing more focus on the boss. - False son becomes much less of a threat during this phase and since he becomes slower by -2 m/s, meaning that all melee moves are usually avoidable by sprinting away from him.
- False Son always starts this phase with Spawning Lunar Shards and then uses Laser Gaze as next move.
- The best cover from Laser Gaze is outer rocks of arena, placed away from statue, False son loses line of sight from the player, not chasing them and golems usually cant reach the player in that spot.
- Alternatively, the player can use one of the multiple pillars on arena.
- If the player hides behind side pillars the most consistent way to avoid damage is to line up middle cursor with eye of the statue and back up as far as possible, then use mobility skill directly at pillar when False son starts getting close. Enough movement speed items can make the use of mobility skills unnescessary.
- Also it can be done other way around, hugging pillar and start sprinting away when he comes close. It requires more precise movement since the player will have to go back blind because camera will be facing opposite direction to sprint.
- If the player hides behind one of the pillars closer to middle both strategies above still work. Also because of position of pillars, the player can get upclose to them and get out of False son's line of sight, avoiding chase.
- Lunar shard explosion is dangerous during Laser due to high knockback, attack has outline representing aoe range and the player has to back up to not be in explosion radius. If that happens False son will waste laser since he will use summon attack with long animation during Laser. If the player is aware that they are likely going to be hit by one of these moves, it may be reccomended to stay grounded.

- It is important to save one geode for the start of the phase, BUT all pillars that are on outer rings of arena that go down as fight progresses will disappear, not giving opportunity for the player to cleanse
- He becomes even slower and his melee attacks become avoidable by simply constantly walking opposite direction.
- Avoiding Charged Laser Gaze is quite simple, by walking backwards when he starts getting close will always avoid melee move.
- Getting out of line of sight still works in this phase, but a bit more complicated. After he jumps he will chase the player from any spot, but getting out of line of sight when he gets close will reset chase.
- After using Prime Devastator, False son summons damaging orbs that rotate around him clockwise, starting south to him and expanding in distance. It can be dangerous if he starts chasing the player during it, it is recommend to not go too far and enter circle when spinning balls open window to go into False Son's orbit. If False Son uses Charged Laser Gaze orbs visual model disappears, BUT hitboxes are still active and can deal damage to player.

- Aurelionite Geode and Lunar Rain Pillars can block her laser beam. Which are generally not a good cover to use against Laser Gaze with long duration, but they can save from unexpected Aurelionite's laser.
- Her sword wave may cover large amount of space where player can hide from Laser Gaze, direction of wave predicts player movement. During Laser Gaze, It is reccomended to constantly move left and right while hiding behind cover to force Aurelionite fire horizontally, leaving vertical line free to avoid attacks from False Son.
- If the player predicts next False Son's Laser Gaze, they may want to force Aurelionite use her laser beam before it to not deal with 2 lasers at the same time. Aurelionite will try to use Laser beam against player with clear line of sight and relatively close range.
