Description

Overview

Path to the False Son

The path to the False Son is made up of shattered, floating platforms populated by Aurelionite Geodes and swarms of monsters. Using the geodes and killing the monsters is not necessary to progress through the stage, but the geodes are placed conveniently along the path to provide quick bursts of healing, and there is a reward for clearing all of them. Lighting frequently strikes down on players and allies, dealing damage and inflicting SotS Icon.pngSotS Icon.pngSeekers of the Storm - DLC Content

Enemies hit take +10% more damage from all sources, are slowed, and reduces healing for 5 seconds.Lunar Ruin can stack.. A few Large Chests are scattered throughout the shattered platforms, typically in hard-to-reach places for Survivors with low mobility.

A launch pad sits at the top of the shattered platforms that brings players to a circular room with 6-7 Cauldrons of varying item rarity. If the players activated every Aurelionite Geode on the path up, Aurelionite Fragments will be spawned for each player as well. Ramps on either side of the room can be walked up to enter the False Son's arena.

Aurelionite Geodes

Aurelionite Geodes are an interactable exclusive to this map. When interacted with, they will crack and disappear, cleansing all debuffs and providing a small amount of Barrier after a short delay. They are scattered throughout the stage and are placed along the edge of the False Son's arena.

Aurelionite Fragments

An Aurelionite Fragment spawns for each player after defeating the False Son. If all Aurelionite Geodes leading to the cauldron room have been cracked, additional Aurelionite Fragments will spawn in the cauldron room.

Shrine of Rebirth

After defeating the False Son, a Shrine of Rebirth will appear. Interacting with the Shrine of Rebirth once will spawn a Destination Portal and interacting with it a second time will allow players to offer one of their items to the shrine.

After an item has been offered, the screen will fade to black and the run will end with the message "Gifted With Rebirth." In your next run with the RebirthArtifact of Rebirth enabled, you will start with the last item you offered to the shrine.

Destination Portal

The Destination Portal can be used to continue a run past Prime Meridian at the cost of not offering an item to the Shrine of Rebirth. It will always send players to SotS Icon.pngSotS Icon.pngSeekers of the Storm - DLC Content

A complex city-like structure built in a volcanic environment. Tunnels and wurms litter the environment and a forge sits near the top..

Notes

  • The in-game timer is paused in this stage.
  • Offering to the Shrine of Rebirth for the first time will unlock the RebirthArtifact of Rebirth. If the Destination Portal is used instead, the Artifact of Rebirth cannot be unlocked in that run.
