On Hooks & Clovers

After a recent comment I went and looked at the interaction between the Sentient Meat Hook and the 57 Leaf Clover. As User:Mantafirefly expected, things quickly escalate. With only one Meat Hook, there is a 7.2% chance of at least one of the hooks procing secundary hooks (given enough enemies for every hook to target) - that is per hit from a normal 1.0 proc damage source. This goes up to 25.7% / 22.1% with a Clover or a second Meat Hook. With about 6 Meat Hooks, 3 Meat Hooks and 1 Clover, or 2 Meat Hooks and 2 Clovers, you are virtually guaranteed to get a cascade of hooks that ends with either everything dying or the game crashing. The biggest troubles at that point are getting the initial proc off and having more than one enemy in the vicinity. Realistically speaking though, by the time you have a Clover and 1-2 Hooks, you are likely stacked with enough other items that it becomes a god run anyway. --Pelmenji (talk) 23:55, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Amusing, I thought it might work that way, although realistically you're really just rolling for double hook-damage on a small group at a time. I feel the spawn limit of 40 enemies to be the thing that stands in the way of a crash. One aother thing, what's the maximum range on a hook? The description mentions nothing about that--Mantafirefly (talk) 09:11, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
