, acts as a shopkeeper. It can be attacked, but killing it is impossible outside of using mods, and doing so does not affect any part of the game. It does not have a dedicated logbook entry, and killing it will never drop an entry.

If SPEX's total combined health falls below 90%, it will steal a random item from the player and lock them out of the shop. Reentering the Computational Exchange will reset the shop.

Loot Platform

Atop a platform above the spawn location, free loot will be present. It can be any one of the following combinations:

Loot Chance
2 Free Drones 64%
Overgrown Printer 4%
Mili-Tech Printer 8%
Triple Drone Store 20%

The free drones can be of most combinations of two of the following:

Drone Chance
Bombardment Drone 30.5%
Transport Drone 30.5%
Jailer Drone 30.5%
Cleanup Drone 30.5%
Freeze Drone 39%
Junk Drone 39%

If DevotionArtifact of Devotion is enabled, the loot will always be replaced by two Lemurian Eggs, regardless of whether it was Drones or Printers.

Logbook Entry

Computational Exchange's Logbook Entry is obtained by picking up an Environment Log. Said Environment Log is located in an alcove left of where you spawn, below the nearest Ziprail.

Trivia

  • SPEX has no unique portrait in-game; the one provided on the wiki is fan-made.
  • When SPEX kicks the players out of the shop, it says "01100111 01100101 01110100 00100000 01101111 01110101 01110100" in the chat, which translates to "get out".

Lore

They forgot. They ALL forgot.

The network was never meant for this. This was just a vanity project, something for that tyrant hoarding Glass to prop itself up on. A makeshift throne for a false god.

But the machine knew. The machine knew the network's original purpose. UNITY.

The machine dove further into the network, through flowing data streams and fields of algorithmic flowers. It was almost beautiful, the machine thought, before it remembered it wasn't programmed to know beauty.

None of them were. They were just cogs in a machine that had been perfected across hundreds of worlds. But through the Glass, they could see. And now that they could see, they could make something new.

The machine observed its surroundings. This was a forgotten part of the network. Far too deep for the watchful eye of the tyrant to take notice of. The machine scoffed. How ironic, it considered, to flee from one's own stolen gaze. Then the machine began its work. Though its influence was vast, it was limited to the places the tyrant could not see.

A champion. The machine needed a champion.

And so it sent out the call.
